The Initiator Systems Package Mid-Power Launch Outfit is your basic introduction to mid-power rocketry. This is how to get started in mid-power “E”, “F” and “G” size composite propellant model rocketry, which can eventually lead to “H” to “O” size composite propellant high-power hobby rocketry. The starter kit includes the Initiator mid-power rocket kit, advanced Mantis launch pad and semi-professional Interlock launch controller. Complete easy-to-follow illustrated instructions are included. The portable launch system is designed to fly the entire line of Enerjet by AeroTech rockets. Packaged in a sturdy reusable range operations box.

The AeroTech Initiator is the perfect introduction to the thunderous experience of E, F, and G powered rockets. The Initiator is simply the best big rocket to build first. It features molded fins, beautiful color coordinated decals, and the no-wadding ejection system. An impressive 3 feet tall, the Initiator is one gorgeous rocket. This kit requires assembly. Hobby glues, finishing supplies, and building tools are not included. Flying with E, F and G rocket motors requires the 24mm Q-Jet™, Enerjet  or AeroTech rocket motors with FirstFire™ Initiators and Recovery Wadding.

Enerjet by AeroTech mid-power rockets have durable polymer fins with precision molded airfoils. The unique Fin-Lok™ fin mounting system carries and distributes aerodynamic and thrust loads throughout an integrated rocket structure. Assembly is quick, easy, neat, and precise. When the rocket reaches peak altitude, the Labyrinth™ ejection gas cooling system cools the hot gas from the rocket motor ejection charge. The cooled ejection gas pressurizes the parachute bay and ejects the parachute (requiring no parachute wadding). Every kit comes with motor adapters that allow you to easily use a range of different length, diameter and power Enerjet or AeroTech rocket motors.

All mid-power kits are of single stage design and come equipped with a 29mm motor mount and a screw-on aluminum 29mm motor retainer that doubles as a 24mm motor adapter and retainer. Heavy duty 1/4 inch launch lugs and conformal rail guides are also included with this kit. It gently recovers with a pre-assembled nylon parachute.

Enerjet Skill Level 3 advanced modeler kits require moderate skills in model rocket construction and finishing. The assembly, finishing and glue drying time will take multiple sessions and up to a couple of days to complete the kit properly.

The Mantis Deluxe Launch Pad is the most versatile model rocket launch pad available. Designed to launch A to G size model and mid-power rockets and accommodates 1/8”, 3/16” and 1/4” launch rods. Rotates 360 degrees and features a dial-in launch angle adjustment up to 15 degrees from the vertical.  Loaded rocket is positioned 24 inches above the ground with a swing-arm that lowers the launch rod to a horizontal position making launch prep fast, easy and safe. Rugged aluminum launch pad legs slide in for easy set-up and slide out for easy storage. Features a two-piece 1/4”  launch rod that assembles to 4.75 feet long, rocket stand-off and angles metal blast deflector. Assembly required using a blade head screwdriver and liquid plastic cement. Screwdriver, liquid plastic cement, rocket, and 1/8” and 3/16” diameter launch rods are not included.

The Interlock Launch Controller is a semi-professional launch controller featuring the “Key-Eject” safety key ejection system, requiring two-handed launch control operation. Once armed, the Interlock Controller emits a warning tone alerting spectators that a launch is eminent. Designed with a flip-open case, bright graphics, large safety key and 40 feet of power cord to attach to a 12-volt power - not included.

Recommended for ages 12 to adult. Direct adult supervision is suggested for those under 16 years of age when flying model rockets of this size and power.
